We are located in Portland, Oregon and are focused one growth within the boating industry! We are a Boat Dealership that offers the best quality boats, parts, and service in the Northwest.

We are now looking to improve our professional team with a new addition. Currently we are interviewing for the Head of our Parts Department.

This is an independent role that requires no criminal record (we will conduct a background check). We would like experience in managing or supervising a retail or commercial environment, self reliance, self motivation, maturity, attention to detail, and perfect organizational skills. In this position you will not be overseeing any employee's.

Skills/Requirements

  • Must possess strong communication excellent organizational skills, team building, associate development, conflict resolution, coaching, and discipline skills.
  • Head of Parts must have substantial experience in managing or supervising.
  • Specific experience in the boating or automotive department is preferred.
  • Understanding the financial and economic goals of our store is required.
  • The Head of Parts be able to communicate effectively both in speech and in writing, and must be able to understand and act on written information and must have the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Professionalism.
  • Computer skills
  • Word, Excel, Windows XP, Zybis, and LightSpeed
  • Ability to completely satisfy customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner on a daily basis. Ensure that customer complaints and problems are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Possess strong communication skills both in speech and writing with subordinates and supervisors, ability to development, be coached
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation and delivery of parts. - Understands and executes financial and economical functions in the proper operation of a retail store.
  • Operate within established budgetary cost controls while achieving sales and profitability goals.
  • Answer phones and direct calls in a professional manner
  • Sales of all parts, some motors, and at times setting appointments for service.
  • Clean, labeled, stocked and organized front of house and back of the house stock.
  • Ordering parts from Vender's around the country.
  • Sending and Receiving products using UPS around the World.
  • Beginning and End of the Month inventories. Perform required inventory maintenance to effectively manage store products and effectively communicate this information to your supervisor prior to ordering products.
  • Ensures all safety standards and practices regarding the proper use of company approved safety equipment like back belts, safety knives, engine hoists, and ladders
